Looking Back and Pressing Forward | Acts 7 | The Faithfulness of God Through Every Generation

In Acts 7, Stephen stands before the religious leaders and delivers one of the most powerful sermons in Scripture. As the early church is growing, miracles are happening, and the gospel is spreading, Stephen takes his listeners on a journey through Israel’s history, not simply to teach history, but to remind them of God's faithfulness.

Sometimes we need to be reminded of what God has done so we can continue moving forward in faith.

In this message, we look back at the lives of Abraham, Joseph, Moses, and the story of the Tabernacle and Temple to see a God who has always been on the move, always faithful to His promises, and always writing a bigger story.

🔹 Abraham – Faith to follow when the path is unclear

🔹 Moses – God raises deliverers in dark times

🔹 The Tabernacle & Temple – God's presence is not limited to a building

Stephen also gives a sobering warning: God's people often resist God's move. Acts 7:51 reminds us that we can be around the things of God and still resist the voice of God. The challenge is not simply to know the story, but to respond to the Spirit's leading today.

✅ Receive fresh power from the Holy Spirit

✅ Live and witness boldly like Stephen in our generation
