What do you do when God says “no”?

We love celebrating open doors, answered prayers, and new opportunities, but sometimes God’s greatest “yes” is hidden inside a closed door.

In Acts 16, Paul was doing something good. He was ready to preach the Gospel, yet the Holy Spirit stopped him, not once, but twice. Paul didn’t argue, negotiate, or force the door open. He simply kept walking. What looked like rejection was actually redirection toward a greater assignment.

That redirection led Paul to Macedonia, where Lydia encountered Jesus, a slave girl was set free, and a prison became the setting for chains to fall and an entire household to experience salvation. What began with two closed doors ultimately impacted generations.

Maybe you’re standing in front of a closed door right now. You’ve prayed, fasted, believed, and still haven’t received the answer you wanted. Don’t assume God’s “no” means He is absent. His “no” may be His guidance, protection, and preparation for something greater than you can see.

Sometimes our greatest act of faith isn’t asking God to open another door, it’s trusting Him enough to thank Him for the one He closed.
