“IT IS FINISHED” — The Power of a Completed Work ✝️

In Gospel of John 19:30, Jesus didn’t whisper defeat—He declared VICTORY: “It is finished!”

This message is a powerful reminder that while it’s easy to start something, God calls us to FINISH.

🔥 In this sermon, we explore:

1. The Work of Redemption Was Fully Completed

Jesus didn’t begin redemption, He finished it. According to Epistle to the Hebrews 9:12, He secured eternal redemption once and for all.

➡️ Redemption is not in progress—it is complete.

2. The Full Payment for Sin Was Made

“It is finished” (Tetelestai) means PAID IN FULL.

Sin created a debt we could never repay, but Jesus canceled it بالكامل (see Epistle to the Colossians 2:14).

➡️ There is no leftover balance, grace has covered it all.

3. The Old Covenant Was Fulfilled

The sacrificial system wasn’t abolished—it was fulfilled.

Through Christ, we now live under a better covenant (Epistle to the Hebrews 8:6,13).

➡️ The veil was torn (Gospel of Luke 23:45-46), giving us direct access to God.

4. The Power of Sin and Death Was Broken

Through His death, Jesus defeated the enemy and broke the chains of fear and bondage (Epistle to the Hebrews 2:14–15).

➡️ You are FREE. The price has been paid.

“It is finished” declares VICTORY.

The veil declares ACCESS.

Darkness is defeated. Bondage is broken.
